On October 2, 2006, Texas Congregations United for Empowerment, Inc. (TCUE), announced a special alliance with Wells Fargo to help advance economic development in the Austin area. "Of the 40 or so local banks that we considered, Wells Fargo best exhibited the standards and commitment that we expect from our financial partner," said Rev. Pastor Joseph Parker, Jr., president of TCUE. "Wells Fargo will help manage the resources of the church and offer its wide range of financial products and services to our growing congregation, primarily in Travis, Williamson and Bastrop counties."
"Wells Fargo is committed to all the communities it serves, and it's important for us to satisfy all their financial services needs and help them succeed financially," said Mark Curry, Wells Fargo Community Banking president for Austin. "That's our vision on behalf of our customers, and we want to realize it for TCUE."
